The Dujka Brothers

The duo of John and Mark Dujka are celebrating their twentieth year in the entertainment business. They have appeared at numerous festivals like the Wurstfest, the Ennis National Polka Festival, Westfest, and Night in Old Fredericksburg, as well as private celebrations spreading their excitement for the traditional music that helped build and strengthen Czech and German communities in the state. Their music can be heard on polka radio programs across the nation as well as the Big Joe Polka Show on RFD-TV and they have recognized by the Texas Polka Music Association and 247PolkaHeaven.com for their recordings. They are proficient on numerous wind and keyboard instruments as well as guitars and accordions, blending their voices to create an outstanding sound that has helped to make them one of Texas most popular duos in polka music.

Some of their trademark songs include "Pivo and Kolaches, Cerveza and Tamales", "When I Dance With You", and "Eatin' Kolaches". Their collaboration with Texas songwriters Daniel Klapuch and Mark Hermes has yielded a string of new polka and waltz hits such as "Moon Over Moravia", "Grandpa Drank Too Much at the St. John Picnic", "The Immigrants Waltz", and "St. Arnold Polka".

When they are not performing on stage, John and Mark maintain active professional lives. John, his wife Julie, son William, and daughters Kalyn and Nadia reside in Brenham. He is professor of Piano and Music Theory at Blinn College, Brenham Campus. John and Julie also record a weekly radio show that aires on KULP 1390 in El Campo. TX. John received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in piano from the University of Houston Moores School of Music. Mark, his wife Suzanne, and their baby girl Isabella reside in East Bernard. Mark has an Ag-Business degree from Texas State University San Marcos and is a ag loan officer for the First National Bank of Eagle Lake.
