What
do you get when you mix 60 years of experience with the exuberance
of youth? That sound is Harry Czarnek and the Texas Dutchmen!!
With
Harry's brand of excitement, a youthful four horn section, and
both
electric bass or tuba, you get the powerful lively Texas Dutchmen
sound
that is instantly recognizable both on the stage and on the radio.
Combine that with the ability to play a wide variety of polka
styles,
including Texas Czech favorites, landlers, concert style, European
style, and even a little country and big band tossed in for spice!
The Texas Dutchmen band was formed in 1970
with the best area musicians
from Czech, German and Polish backgrounds.
Since then, the band has played thousands
of shows throughout Texas and
the Central US, including weddings, anniversaries, the Praha Picnic,
the
National Polka Festival in Ennis, the Knights of Columbus State
convention, the SPJST Convention as well as many of the dance
halls and
clubs in Texas. The band also appeared on radio shows on KFRD,
