fritz hoddeFritz Hodde & "The Fabulous Six" hope to see you at the National Polka Festival in Ennis. Texas on May 28, 2011 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, playing time from 11:30a.m.-3:00pm. Our band has participated in the National Polka Festival in Ennis off and on since 1967 and for many other festivals throughout Texas over the years. We are proud to have the ability to keep the Czech polka music alive. Fritz Hodde's "The Fabulous Six" has been performing since 1963. Home base is now Hutto, Texas. The band enjoys traveling the State of Texas playing polka, waltz, and country music.

The band consists of three generations of Hoddes (Fritz, Scott, and Brandon). Brandon is the son of Scott Hodde and the grandson of Fritz Hodde.

All the band members are multi-talented and feature vocals of Czech, German, Spanish, and English: Fritz Hodde – Trumpet, accordion, guitar, vocals - Has played in the band for 47 years. Arthur Palla – Saxophone, guitar, vocals – Has played in the band since January, 1981. Scott Hodde – Saxophone, button accordion, trumpet, drums, bass guitar, vocals has played in the band since 1984. Russell Kalkbrenner – Bass guitar, drums – Has played in the band since Sept, 2002. Brandon Hodde – Drums, saxophone, button accordion, vocals – Since 2007. The band has made 9 recordings, which can be found on CD, cassette, 8-track, and LP's. Hope to see you at the National Polka Festival on May 2012. It is always a pleasure to see old friends and make new ones.
