Friday Night - King and Queen Dance Contest

king and queenSince 1987, Johnnie I. and Margaret Krajca, have facilitated the annual National Polka Festival® King and Queen Contest and this year will be one like no other. So dust off your dancing shoes and plan on competing this year.
Couples should plan to register for the contest at the entrance of the KJT Hall before 8:30 p.m. A Czech costume or “fancy” dancing is not a requirement for the contest, but winners will need a Czech costume for the remainder of the weekend. The “Polka Princess” contest will be held. Contestants between the ages of 6 to 10 years old are eligible and must have their parents or guardian’s consent. Registration will be held at the entrance of the hall and you must sign-up before 8:30 p.m. A Czech costume is required for the winner who will participate in the weekend festivities. It’s “Polka Time”! So, come “Czech” out what’s happening in Ennis, Texas Memorial Weekend 2019!
