Vrazels' Polka Band

The Vrazel Polka Band has been playing in leading Ballrooms and halls in and around Texas since 1953. The band is greeted by warm and receptive audiences everywhere it goes. In 1976 the band played at the bicentennial's "Festival of American Folklife" in Washington D.C. representing Czech music. In 1991 the band performed at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as part of the "Accordion Kings Project" sponsored by Texas Folklore Resources. Every year the Vrazels play at several polka festivals in and around Texas, and has not missed a Westfest since Westfest's beginning in 1976. The band has recorded 20 singles, 14 albums, and 12 tapes. The Vrazel Polka Hour can be heard every Sunday on KMIL(AM 1330) in Cameron, Texas and is hosted by Alfred Vrazel.
