Frequently asked questions
Are credit cards accepted for admission into the dance halls?
Yes, cash and credit are accepted for admission to the halls. There are ATM machines at the KJT Hall, Sokol Hall and SPJST Hall. Admission for Friday night is $9, admission for Saturday is $14, Country Concert admission is additional, admission for Sunday is $11. Children 12 and under are FREE.
Is there a three day pass offered?
Yes, but only on Friday night, May 28, at the King/Queen Dance. It is $30 for the weekend, which is a $4 savings.
Can you bring dogs to the festival?
Pets are only allowed at the downtown festival, not the dance halls. All pets most be on a leash and no exotic animals are allowed (reptiles, etc.). Service dogs are permitted in the halls.
How does the free shuttle work?
The shuttles travel from downtown Ennis and to the halls during specific hours. The shuttles will start going to the halls after the parade. Saturday: Continuous shuttle from downtown to halls until 11 pm. On Sunday, there will be continuous shuttle service from NOON - 6 pm from downtown Ennis to the halls. The shuttle is available in downtown at corner of N. Dallas & W. Belknap.

Is there handicap parking for the parade?
Yes, there is limited handicap parking at the Ennis Public Library at 501 W. Ennis Ave, Ennis, Texas 75119
Where is the polka mass?
The polka mass will be held on Sunday, May 24 at 9:00 am at St. John Nepomucene Church, located at 401 E. Lampasas Street, Ennis, Texas 75119. Time subject to change. Check back soon.
Is there an admission fee for the downtown part of the festival (arts/crafts/street dance)?
There is no admission fee to the downtown part of the festival. However, activities at the festival (children’s activities, food, beer at the Pivo Pavilion) are fee based.
What time does the parade start?
It will start in downtown Ennis at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 29 and will run from N. Clay, then left on W. Ennis Ave through downtown, then right on SW Main Street. It is suggested to come as early as 9 am to line up to watch the parade.
Is there alcohol served at the festival?
Various types of alcohol are served at each participating hall in the bar and beer only will be served in downtown Ennis at the Pivo (Beer) Pavilion.

Is the Country Concert separate admission from the hall admission?
Yes, there is a separate admission to the Country Concert. Country Band and Artist TBA.
Where can I purchase the Country Concert Tickets?

Are there polka dance lessons available?

Is there food sold at the halls and in downtown?
Can you go and eat at the halls at lunch without paying admission?
<h5 class="font_5">No, you will have to pay the admission to be able to eat lunch at the halls.</h5>
Are there RV hookups for camping?
Sokol and KJT have a limited amount of space for overnight RV stays. Please contact either of them directly for more information.
